How to Make a Covered Button Bracelet

Hi! Making a covered button bracelet is super easy! You can finish making a beautiful bracelet in 15 minutes! It's a great project to do it with kids and teenagers too! I made this blue bracelet with bumble bees & flowers for my daughter. She loves it!!

Step 1:
You'll need these materials: buttons to cover (I use size 24 [5/8" or 1.6cm] here),
a coordinating cover button tool, a bracelet, fabric,
a small piece of felt (it's not in this picture), a E6000 glue, a stick or a toothpick.
Step 2:
Cut a piece of fabric with the pattern you like in the center.
It should be big enough to cover a button.
Step 3:
Because my cover button is a wire eye back (loop/shank),
so I need a pair of pliers to remove the loop out. It's super easy!
Step 4:
Put the piece of fabric on top of the mold (white one), then put the shell of the button on top. Push down and tuck the fabric in the center. Place the back of the button on top of it.
(click here to see step by step tutorial of making a covered button).
Step 5:
Push the pusher (blue one) down.

Step 6:
A covered button is made

Step 7:
Cut a piece of felt as big as the back of the button.
It helps to increase the thickness of the button back which is easier to attach to the bracelet.

Step 8:
Apply the E6000 glue onto the bracelet disks and glue the covered buttons on.
It takes about 5 minutes to dry.

Da Da! It's done!

New Items-disk and loop bracelets, earring posts and rings

Hi everyone! It's getting cool in New Jersey now. How's the weather in your state/country?

I've been very busy at crocheting recently! Yes, crocheting is a lot of fun! I'm making some amigurumi for my kids. I bought a pattern from http://www.anapaulaoli.etsy.com/ last week. She is a very nice and sweet seller. She has many cute and easy-make amigurumi patterns in very low prices. She is also an author of 2 amigurumi books! I also ordered some plastic safety eyes from my best friend's shop http://www.6060.etsy.com/. She has many different sizes plastic safety eyes for amigurumi. Good price! Godd seller!

OK! Back to my topic! I have some new inventories in my shop! Look at these beautiful silver-plated and gold color disk-loop bracelets! You can glue on fabric covered buttons, Swarvoski Crystals, grass, pendants, charms and cabochon on them! I love these bracelets!

These were posted yesterday to my shop - 5mm surgical stainless steel earring posts and backs! They have glueable flat pad for fabric covered buttons, grass, Swarvoski Crystal, beads or charms. Each earring post comes with a butterfly nut (back).

Recommended in an Israelite Craft Forum...Weee!!!

About a week ago, I sold few items of cover buttons to a customer who lives in Israel. I got a feedback from her who said it's amazing to receive the package in 6 days! I was happy to know that the package delivered to her hand fast and safely cuz this was my first shipment to Israel!

About a day or two later, I had 3 orders from Israel!!!! I didn't think it's coincident or something. My instant told me that it's related to the first Israelite customer! Then I emailed her and asked if she recommended me to her friends. I was so thrilled to get the answer from her. She remmended me to a local craft forum in Israel! Wow! The "word of mouth" is amazing! It's better than advertizing in many different blogs and sites! Thank to her! Today, I've had another 2 orders from Israel again! Weeeee.....!

What's your sale goal for June?

How was your sale in May? Did you reach your goal?I started my store on Etsy on May 1. I didn't expect any sales in the first month! Luckily, a customer bought 3 packages of scrapbook stickers from me! lol! Business was still very slow in the first 2 weeks. People were not interested in my handmade felt dolls or hair accessories at all. Until my friend, Sally, encouraged me to sell blank cover buttons in my store (I used them to make the hair accessories), business was getting better!

I bought in few sizes of blank cover buttons from a supplier. 2 days after I listed them, one of sizes was sold out! There were more than 144 pieces! wow! It really surprised me!In May, the 1st month of business, I had 20 sales! Thanks to the Lord!

In June, I hope that I can make 30 sales (as of today, I've had 7 sales!). Since I will be on vacation (going to Disney World again with the kids!), I don't expect too much!

I hope everyone will have more sales in June! Have fun and enjoy the summer!

My Piggy was sold!

Since I have opened my Etsy store for 1 month, I've had about 20 sales which is really good! However, my store carries many of my handmade items as well as craft supplies, such as blank cover button supplies and scrapbook stickers. None of these 20 sales was a handmade item by me. I was kind of sad! People were more interested in my craft supplies! Anyway, I should give thanks!

Until yesterday, a lady who is also from NJ became my first handmade-item customer! She bought the Felt Pink Piggy from me! She loves all kind of pigs coz she names herself as BusyLittlePiggy! Thanks to her! Someone loves my handmade! Yeah!

This morning, PurplePinkandOrange notified me that my little piggy is being featured on their six quick picks today!! lol!
